Groovy Grad
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE color!! Anything that is colorful excites me and always catches my attention. That being said, if you also love all things colorful & groovy keep reading, because this blog post is going to be FUNKY!
For this party, I just knew I needed to create a dramatic backdrop that screamed color & groovy! To say I am obsessed with the result would totally be correct. To create this backdrop, I cut & hand tied each strand to a plastic poultry fence that I got from Home Depot. I then zipped the backdrop onto our wooden pallet backdrop! Finally, I attached this custom balloon garland I ordered from Bashify! Lastly, to tie it all in together I added in some foil disco ball balloons from Amazon.
What’s a Grad Party without a table to celebrate the grad? This 8 ft. table was decorated with custom signage, themed picture frames, the most fun disco ball ever, and the cap & gown. To display the cap & gown I just hung it on a mannequin I bought at Hobby Lobby!
Now lets talk about this disco ball! I ordered this 8 in. disco ball planter off of Amazon, along with 2 smaller 6 in. ones! To fill the disco ball, I filled it with Floral Foam and then placed these colorful dried florals I bought off Etsy.
To make this custom acrylic sign I ordered a 24x36 in. acrylic sign off of Amazon. I then cut our Lily’s name using a circut and attached removable vinyl to the sign!
For the front door entrance sign, I also used a 24 x 36 in. acrylic sign, but this time I used white acrylic paint to paint the back of it! Once it dried, I attached the same silver removable vinyl from before to it.
What’s a party without custom desserts?! These cookies matched the theme perfectly! For the container I spray painted a wooden tray a teal blue to match the rest of the party!
We also included a candy bar and cake pops!
Happy Graduation Lily! We absolutely loved this party and getting to make all the decor for it! Wishing you the best on your new adventures!
